A.I.I.C.S.F (VFI) STATEMENT OF FAITH
God (Matthew 28:19)
We believe there is one God eternally existent in three persons i.e. God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. This is the Holy Trinity.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible and only authoritative Word of God written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit through holy servants of God
Savior
We believe in the Deity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His personal future.
Forgiveness (Acts 2:38)
We believe that the only means by which a human being can be cleansed from sin is by grace through repentance and faith in the most precious Blood of Jesus Christ, followed by water baptism through immersion as an outward testimony of the work grace has done in the heart.
Baptism of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8)
We believe all Christians should receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues to enable them to be effective witnesses for Christ.
Fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22,23 1 Corinthians 12:8-11)
We believe that faith of believers must be shown by their fruit with free and effective but wise operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit for the glory of God, edification of the Church and perfection of the saints to grow in the grace of God.
Ministries and Sacraments (Ephesians 4:7,11)
We believe Jesus Christ has given ministries for the guidance of His body the Church, with different callings to preach the Word, tend the flock of God and administer the sacraments of baptism and Holy Communion as He ordained.
Regeneration
We believe the regeneration of the Holy Spirit is absolutely necessary for personal salvation.
Healing (1 Peter 2:24, Matthew 8:17, Mark 16:17)
We believe the redemptive work of Christ at the cross provides healing of human spirits; minds and bodies in answer to a believer's prayer and in the name of Jesus Christ evil spirits are cast out.
Marriage It ordained by God.
We believe in monogamous marriage between man and woman who are both believers and followers of Christ. Marriage is binding for life.
Fellowship and Commitment (Hebrews 10:24, Malachi 3:10)
Believers are encouraged to fellowship with other saints and at least a weekly corporate congregational worship. They give tithes and offerings to the Lord's work as God blesses them.
Blessed Hope (1 Thessalonians 4:14-17)
We believe in the blessed hope of the rapture of the church at Christ's coming.
God's Judgment.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved (believers) and lost (non-believers), the former to everlasting life and the latter to everlasting damnation
